FireHydrant pricing and plans with cost per responder and what the add-ons change

FireHydrant pricing has three plans: Free for up to 10 responders, Pro at 25 USD per responder per month billed annually, and Enterprise at a custom price. On-call scheduling starts on Pro, SMS and voice notifications are sold separately on top of Pro, and private incidents, viewer licenses, audit logs and FireHydrant AI are Enterprise only. Prices were checked on FireHydrant's pricing page in September 2026.

The seat price is the easy part. What moves the bill is whether your rotation needs phone paging, and whether you need one of the features FireHydrant keeps on Enterprise. This page lays out every plan, the costs the list price leaves out, and the full monthly math for 5, 15 and 40 responders next to incident.io, PagerDuty and IncidentBot.

Why do some sites show FireHydrant at 20 and 44 USD per user?

Some review and pricing aggregators still list older FireHydrant plan names, Starter at about 20 USD and Advanced at about 44 USD per user. Those are not on FireHydrant's current pricing page, which shows Free, Pro and Enterprise. Use the current page as the reference and ask for any older packaging in writing if your contract still uses it.

FireHydrant cost beyond the seat price

Four things decide the real invoice.

  • SMS and voice. On Pro, FireHydrant lists SMS and voice notifications as available for purchase, without a public price. For a real on-call rotation, the phone call at 3 a.m. is the whole point of paging, so ask for this number before you compare anything else.
  • Integration cap. Pro includes 5 integrations. A typical stack of Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch, Jira, GitHub and a status page subscriber tool already needs six. Check what counts as an integration in your case.
  • Enterprise-only features. Private incidents (security and HR incidents), viewer licenses for stakeholders who only read, audit logs, SCIM and FireHydrant AI are all Enterprise. If you need one, the comparison is against a quoted Enterprise price, not 25 USD.
  • Annual commitment. The 25 USD Pro price is billed annually. If your headcount changes during the year, ask how true-ups work.

How much does FireHydrant cost per year?

At list price, a FireHydrant Pro seat costs 300 USD per responder per year before SMS and voice. A 15 responder team pays 4,500 USD a year, and a 40 responder team pays 12,000 USD a year, plus the notification add-on and any Enterprise upgrade. Third-party buyer data suggests annual contracts are often negotiated below list price.

Does the Freshworks acquisition change FireHydrant pricing?

Freshworks closed its acquisition of FireHydrant on January 5, 2026, and says it is integrating FireHydrant into the Freshworks platform as a combined ServiceOps product with Freshservice. FireHydrant's own price list has not changed its structure so far: Free, Pro and Enterprise. For renewals, the practical questions are whether Pro stays available as a standalone plan, whether SMS and voice pricing changes, and whether new capabilities arrive only in the Freshservice bundle.

If your team already runs Freshservice, the combined roadmap may be exactly what you want. If you only need the service desk side to hand work to the right people, a lighter tool to route every ticket to the right person can cover it without buying a full ITSM suite. If you are an engineering team that does not use Freshservice, price your next renewal against standalone incident tools too; our FireHydrant alternative page walks through that switch.

Sources: firehydrant.com/pricing, incident.io/pricing and pagerduty.com/pricing, checked in September 2026. incident.io Team caps you at 2 on-call schedules. Our PagerDuty pricing per user breakdown covers PagerDuty's add-ons.

Read it honestly. On seat price alone, FireHydrant Pro, incident.io Team with on-call and PagerDuty Professional are within a few dollars of each other and of our Starter plan. What separates them is what is inside the seat. IncidentBot Starter includes 100 SMS and voice notifications per user each month, and Team includes unlimited SMS and voice (fair use), unlimited schedules, 3 public or private status pages and postmortem drafts. Stakeholders who only read incidents are never billed on any plan. If you have 5 people and do not need phone paging, FireHydrant's Free plan or a free tier elsewhere is the cheaper choice; stay there until you need on-call.

Where FireHydrant wins: a real free tier, Microsoft Teams and SSO on the entry paid plan, unlimited public status pages on Pro and a mature runbook engine. Where IncidentBot wins: phone paging is in the price, viewers are free, a private status page app does not need an Enterprise contract, and every price is on the public on call management software pricing page with a seat calculator.

Questions to ask before you sign or renew FireHydrant

  • What does SMS and voice cost for our responder count, in writing?
  • Do we need private incidents, viewer licenses, audit logs or SCIM this year? If yes, get the Enterprise quote.
  • How many integrations will we connect, and does the Pro cap of 5 cover them?
  • Will Pro stay available as a standalone plan through our next renewal after the Freshworks integration?
  • How many on-call schedules do we run today, and how many will we run in a year? See how rotations work in on call scheduling software.

If you are also comparing Slack-first tools, the incident.io alternative page runs the same math against incident.io's on-call add-on, and incident.io pricing lists every incident.io plan.

How much does FireHydrant cost?

FireHydrant costs 25 USD per responder per month on the Pro plan, billed annually. There is a free plan for up to 10 responders without on-call scheduling, and Enterprise is priced by quote. SMS and voice notifications are sold separately on Pro. Checked on FireHydrant's pricing page in September 2026.

Is FireHydrant free?

FireHydrant has a free plan for up to 10 responders with 2 runbooks, a Slack and Microsoft Teams chatbot, 1 public status page and 3 integrations. It does not include on-call scheduling, so teams that carry a pager need Pro or a different tool.

Does FireHydrant charge for SMS and voice?

Yes. On Pro, SMS and voice notifications are listed as available for purchase, and FireHydrant does not publish the price. Push, Slack, Microsoft Teams and email notifications are included. Ask for the SMS and voice price in writing before comparing tools.

Does FireHydrant have a per-user price for viewers?

Viewer licenses for people who only read incidents are an Enterprise feature. On Pro, pricing is per responder. In IncidentBot, read-only stakeholders are included on every plan and never take a paid seat.

Who owns FireHydrant now?

Freshworks, the company behind Freshservice and Freshdesk, closed its acquisition of FireHydrant on January 5, 2026, and is integrating it into a combined ServiceOps product with Freshservice.
