incident.io pricing per user, incident.io plans and what the on-call add-on really costs

incident.io pricing has four plans: Basic (free), Team at 15 USD per user per month billed annually (19 USD monthly), Pro at 25 USD per user per month and Enterprise at a custom price. On-call scheduling and paging are an add-on on Team and Pro: plus 10 USD per user on Team and plus 20 USD per user on Pro, so a Pro seat with on-call costs 45 USD. There is also an on-call only plan at 20 USD per user. Prices were checked on incident.io's pricing page in September 2026.

Most teams that search for incident.io pricing already like the product and want to know what the real invoice looks like once paging is switched on. This page gives every plan with its limits, the costs the headline price leaves out, and the monthly math for 5, 15 and 40 users next to FireHydrant, PagerDuty and IncidentBot.

Why do some sites show a different on-call add-on price?

Several pricing trackers quote the Team on-call add-on at 12 USD per user. That figure usually refers to monthly billing, while incident.io's page leads with the annual price of 10 USD. When you compare quotes, keep the billing period the same on both sides: annual Team with on-call is 25 USD per user, and monthly billing costs more.

incident.io cost beyond the seat price

The seat price is the number on the page. Four things move the real bill.

  • On-call is a separate line. The Team and Pro prices cover incident response only. If your team carries a pager, add 10 or 20 USD for every user who needs on-call. Ask incident.io whether the add-on is charged for every seat or only for people in a rotation, because that single answer changes the total more than any discount.
  • The Team plan caps. Team stops at 2 on-call schedules and 3 workflows. A second product squad, a separate database rotation or a follow-the-sun setup across two regions is enough to push you to Pro, and Pro with on-call is 45 USD per user.
  • Features that start on Pro. Private incidents for security and HR, AI postmortems, custom dashboards and live call routing all begin on Pro. If one of them is a requirement, the Team price is not your comparison point.
  • Features that start on Enterprise. Audit logs, custom RBAC, phone trees and more than one public status page are Enterprise. Teams heading into a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit often need audit logs, and pair their incident tool with compliance management software that maps those records to controls. If you need audit logs, you are buying Enterprise at a quoted price.

How much does incident.io cost per year?

At list price, a Team seat with on-call costs 300 USD per user per year (15 plus 10 USD, billed annually). A Pro seat with on-call costs 540 USD per user per year. A 15 person team on Team with on-call pays 4,500 USD a year, and the same team on Pro with on-call pays 8,100 USD a year, before any Enterprise upgrade.

incident.io pricing for 5, 15 and 40 users

List prices per month at annual billing. Every row assumes the team needs on-call, because that is what an engineering rotation actually runs.

Plan5 users15 users40 users

incident.io Team plus on-call (15 plus 10 USD)125 USD375 USD1,000 USD

IncidentBot Team (49 USD, unlimited schedules, unlimited SMS and voice with fair use, private status pages)245 USD735 USD1,960 USD

Read the table honestly. If your whole company fits in 2 schedules and 3 workflows, incident.io Team with on-call at 25 USD is a fair price and close to our Starter plan at 24 USD. The gap opens when you outgrow Team. A 40 person engineering group with four squads needs more than 2 schedules, which on incident.io means Pro with on-call at 1,800 USD a month. On IncidentBot, unlimited schedules come on Team at 1,960 USD a month, together with unlimited SMS and voice paging and up to 3 public or private status pages, and read-only stakeholders who never take a paid seat. You can put your own numbers into the seat calculator on the on call management software pricing page.

Which incident.io plan does your team need?

  • Basic fits a single team of a few engineers that wants a clean Slack incident channel and one status page, and can live with one schedule.
  • Team with on-call fits one or two squads with a simple rotation. It is the best value in incident.io's lineup as long as you stay under 2 schedules and 3 workflows.
  • Pro with on-call fits companies with several rotations, private security incidents or a need for AI postmortems and custom dashboards.
  • Enterprise fits regulated companies that need audit logs, custom roles and several public status pages.
  • On-call only fits teams that run incidents somewhere else and just need paging.

If your plan choice is driven by the schedule cap or by private incidents rather than by features you actually want, that is the moment to price a tool where on-call and private pages are part of the base seat. Our incident.io alternative page walks through that comparison and a two to three week switch plan.

Where incident.io wins: a free plan, Microsoft Teams and SSO on every tier, a lower seat price for teams that do not carry a pager, and a polished AI postmortem editor on Pro. Where IncidentBot wins: on-call is never an add-on, a third schedule does not force an upgrade, private status page app pages come on Team, and stakeholders who only read are free. How rotations, overrides and hand-offs work is on on call scheduling software.

Questions to ask before you sign or renew incident.io

  • Is the on-call add-on charged for every user, or only for people who are in a rotation?
  • How many schedules will we run in twelve months, and does Team's cap of 2 still fit?
  • Do we need private incidents, audit logs or more than one public status page this year?
  • What does the add-on cost on monthly billing, and can we mix monthly and annual seats?
  • If we add Microsoft Teams, SAML or live call routing later, which plan does that put us on?

Write the answers down next to the seat count. With those five numbers, the comparison against any other tool takes ten minutes.

How much does incident.io cost?

incident.io costs 15 USD per user per month on the Team plan billed annually (19 USD monthly) and 25 USD per user on Pro. On-call is an add-on: plus 10 USD per user on Team and plus 20 USD on Pro. Basic is free and Enterprise is priced by quote. Checked on incident.io's pricing page in September 2026.

Is incident.io free?

incident.io has a free Basic plan with Slack or Microsoft Teams incident response, one public status page, single team on-call, one schedule and one workflow. It suits a small team with one rotation. Once you need a second schedule or multi-team on-call, you move to Team with the on-call add-on.

Is on-call included in incident.io pricing?

Not on Team or Pro. On-call scheduling and paging cost an extra 10 USD per user on Team and 20 USD per user on Pro, and are included on Enterprise. A standalone on-call only plan costs 20 USD per user. In IncidentBot, schedules and escalation policies are included in every paid plan.

What is the difference between incident.io Team and Pro?

Team costs 15 USD per user annually and caps you at 2 on-call schedules, 3 workflows and 3 custom fields. Pro costs 25 USD and removes those caps, adds private incidents, AI postmortems, custom dashboards and a live call routing number. With on-call, the gap is 25 USD versus 45 USD per user.

Is incident.io cheaper than PagerDuty?

For incident response alone, yes: incident.io Team is 15 USD per user against PagerDuty Professional at 21 USD. With on-call added, incident.io Team costs 25 USD and Pro costs 45 USD, while PagerDuty Professional is 21 USD and Business 41 USD, all billed annually. The cheaper option depends on which tier your features require.
