Squadcast pricing per user, SolarWinds Incident Response plans and what a team really pays

Squadcast pricing starts at 15 USD per user per month billed annually for the Pro plan and 24 USD for Premium, with Enterprise priced by quote. Squadcast is now sold as SolarWinds Incident Response, and the old squadcast.com pricing page redirects to solarwinds.com. There is no free plan any more, only a 14 day trial. Prices were checked on the SolarWinds pricing page in September 2026.

Most people searching for Squadcast pricing are pricing a renewal on new SolarWinds paper or putting Squadcast on a shortlist. This page lists what each plan includes, the costs the headline price leaves out, and the monthly math for 5, 15 and 40 users next to PagerDuty, incident.io, Rootly, Better Stack and IncidentBot.

What each Squadcast plan adds

  • Pro covers the on-call basics: schedules, escalation policies, alert routing and deduplication, incident management and integrations with the usual monitoring tools.
  • Premium adds unlimited SMS and voice, status pages, up to 10 stakeholders, exportable incident timelines, the SLO tracker, runbooks and workflows.
  • Enterprise adds intelligent alert grouping, AI generated incident summaries, incident suggestions, audit logs, unlimited stakeholders and a two-way ServiceNow sync.

Why do some sites still show a free Squadcast plan and 20 USD pricing?

Pricing trackers such as TrustRadius and Toolradar still show the older Squadcast list: a Free plan for up to 5 users, Pro at 20 USD monthly or 15 USD annually and Premium at 29 USD monthly or 24 USD annually. The current SolarWinds page shows no free plan and annual prices only. Treat the monthly numbers as history and the SolarWinds page as the price you will be quoted.

Squadcast cost beyond the seat price

Four things move a Squadcast bill away from 15 or 24 times your headcount.

  • SMS and voice overage on Pro. Each Pro user gets 100 free SMS and voice notifications a month in the US, and 25 outside the US, Brazil and India. After that SolarWinds charges per message: about 0.10 USD per SMS and 0.35 USD for international notifications. A noisy week with phone escalations can use a quarter of the monthly allowance in one night.
  • No stakeholders and no status page on Pro. The moment support or leadership wants to follow incidents, or customers need a status page, the whole team moves to Premium, which is a 60 percent jump per seat.
  • The 10 stakeholder cap on Premium. A company with more than 10 people outside engineering who need read-only access lands on the quoted Enterprise plan.
  • Enterprise only features. AI incident summaries, audit logs and the ServiceNow sync are not on Premium, so regulated teams that need an audit trail are quoted.

How much does Squadcast cost per year?

At list price, Squadcast Pro costs 180 USD per user per year and Premium costs 288 USD per user per year, both paid annually. A 15 person on-call team pays 2,700 USD a year on Pro or 4,320 USD a year on Premium before any SMS overage or Enterprise upgrade.

Squadcast Premium (status pages, 10 stakeholders)120 USD360 USD960 USD
Squadcast Enterprise (unlimited stakeholders, AI summaries)QuoteQuoteQuote

The step that hurts is the one from Pro to Premium. A 40 user team that needs a customer status page goes from 600 USD to 960 USD a month, and if 25 people in support and management want to follow incidents, Premium no longer covers them.

Squadcast Pro is the cheapest published on-call seat in this group. Premium lands at the same 24 USD as IncidentBot Starter, and the difference is in what sits around the seat: Premium has unlimited SMS and voice and the SLO tracker, while IncidentBot Starter has a public status page and unlimited read-only stakeholders.

Which Squadcast plan does your team need?

  • Pro fits a small engineering team that only needs paging, keeps notification volume under 100 per person a month and has no one outside engineering following incidents.
  • Premium fits a team that publishes a status page, pages by phone often or has a handful of stakeholders. Count them before you sign: the eleventh stakeholder is an Enterprise conversation.
  • Enterprise fits regulated companies that need audit logs, ServiceNow sync or company-wide read access.

If you land between Premium and Enterprise because of stakeholders alone, compare tools that do not count readers. That is the most common reason teams look at a Squadcast alternative.

Squadcast is cheaper per seat. IncidentBot is the better fit when stakeholders and a status page matter more than the seat price, for example a 40 engineer team with 60 readers in support, sales and leadership. Details of the full seat plans are on on call management software pricing, and the incident workflow is on incident response tools.

Questions to ask before you sign or renew Squadcast

  • How many notifications did the team send last quarter, and how many went over the Pro allowance?
  • How many people outside engineering follow incidents today, and how many will in a year?
  • Does the contract now come from SolarWinds, and does your security team need a new vendor review?
  • Is monthly billing available, or only annual?
  • What uplift applies at renewal, and when is the notice window? Put the date in your contract management software so the renewal does not roll over by default.

How much does Squadcast cost?

Squadcast, now SolarWinds Incident Response, costs 15 USD per user per month for Pro and 24 USD per user per month for Premium, both billed annually. Enterprise is priced by quote. Pro includes 100 free SMS and voice notifications per user in the US; Premium includes unlimited notifications, status pages and up to 10 stakeholders.

Does Squadcast have a free plan?

Not any more. The current SolarWinds pricing page lists no free plan, only a 14 day trial on Pro, Premium and Enterprise. Older pricing sites still show a free plan for up to 5 users. IncidentBot has no free plan either; the incident simulator runs a sample incident before you create an account.

Is Squadcast cheaper than PagerDuty?

Yes, on list price. Squadcast Pro costs 15 USD per user per month billed annually against 21 USD for PagerDuty Professional, and Squadcast Premium costs 24 USD against 41 USD for PagerDuty Business. Check SMS allowances and stakeholder limits, since they change the real total.

Does Squadcast charge for stakeholders?

Squadcast Pro does not support stakeholders. Premium includes up to 10 at no extra cost, and Enterprise includes unlimited stakeholders. In IncidentBot, read-only stakeholders are unlimited on every plan and never take a paid seat.

Is Squadcast part of SolarWinds?

Yes. SolarWinds announced the acquisition of Squadcast on March 3, 2025, and the product is now sold as SolarWinds Incident Response with pricing on solarwinds.com. It runs as a standalone product and does not require SolarWinds Observability.
